Change in the composition of fungal communities associated with mudflat reclamation via long-term rice cultivation

the objectives of this study were to (1) elucidate the compositional and functional response of the fungal communities to mudflat reclamation via long-term rice cultivation, and (2) to reveal the association between the composition and function of fungal communities and the soil properties. To that end, Illumina Miseq sequencing was used to determine the fungal communities associated with different years of rice cultivation in mudflats and the FunGuild database was used to predicte the function of the fungal communities.
