Large dams

The database in question contains the information layer of the large dams, i.e. works of barrier height greater than 15 m, or resulting in a volume of reservoir greater than 1 million cubic meters (CIRC. M.LL.PP. 19 April 1995, No. 482), of State competence. They fall within the Lombard territory and are supervised by the Italian Dam Register, a public non-economic body of high technical specialisation established in 2003, which performs all the tasks conferred by the legislation in force to the National Dam Service and over which the current Minister of Infrastructure and Transport exercises supervision.
