Lab3- Field Sample Training with Animals

This lab took place in the grassland at York University near the Aviva Centre were data was collected on insects that were found there. Quadrats were used on both the mowed and tall grass area. 10 quadrats were placed on the mowed area and 10 placed on the tall grass area. When placing the quadrats, they were always placed two steps away from the last one. Once the quadrat was placed, it was then observed what insects that were found in each quadrat and the number of each insect was counted for as well.本实验开展于加拿大约克大学（York University）紧邻阿维娃中心（Aviva Centre）的草地，研究针对该区域内发现的昆虫采集相关数据。本次研究使用样方(quadrat)法，分别在修剪草坪与高草区域布设样方：其中修剪草坪区域布设10个样方，高草区域同样布设10个样方。样方布设时，每个样方与前一个样方保持两步的间距。待样方放置完毕后，观测每个样方内发现的昆虫种类，并统计各类昆虫的个体数量。
