This BioProject has two goals: 1) To provide Diagnostic Genetics graduate students at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center with hands on technical training in the use of various NGS platforms and Bioinformatics Analysis using S. dysgalactiae subsp. equisimilis (SDSE) as a model system; and 2) To understand genomic diversity and evolution of virulence in this emerging pathogen via systematic sequencing of the genomes and transcriptomes of clinical and veterinary SDSE isolates.
