Results of the citespace mapping of domestic and international patient decision aids in pediatrics

Retrieve relevant literature on pediatric patient decision support tools published in CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, Web of Science core collection, and PubMed database from January 2012 to December 2023, and conduct bibliometric analysis using CitesSpace software 1.1 Data Sources and Retrieval Strategies This article uses (TS="patient decision aids" OR "patient decision support tools" OR "shared decision making" OR "patient decision support system" OR "healthcare decision making") AND (TS="child" OR "children" OR "youth" OR "kids" OR "teen manager" OR "adolescent") and (theme=decision assistance+decision assistance tools+shared decision-making) AND (theme=pediatrics or children+children+children+adolescents) as retrieval equations to search for Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) database, PubMed database, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database, respectively. CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases. 1.2 Inclusion and exclusion criteria and literature screening process Inclusion criteria: (1) The research subjects are children and/or substitute decision-makers; (2) The research content is related to PDA. Exclusion criteria: (1) Duplicate publications; (2) Meeting minutes, book chapter materials. Preliminary search of 7699 English literature and 591 Chinese literature. After plagiarism check, initial screening, and re screening, 400 articles were finally included (383 in English and 17 in Chinese). 1.3 Literature Extraction and Analysis: Select pure text files for the retrieved literature, choose full record and citation formats for the recorded content, and import them into CiteSpace6.3.R1 software. The functional parameters of the software are set as follows: time slicing is set from January 2012 to December 2023. Select 1 year for year per slice, and select keywords and countries for node types. Threshold setting: Selection criteria: k=24 N=50. The rest are system default.
