The rhizosphere and bulk soils of a rice landrace, Norungan, and high-yielding cultivar, Co51, grown under normal moisture and drought-induced conditions were assessed for microbiome diversity. The metagenomic DNA was extracted from the soils and V3-V4 hypervariable region of the 16S rRNA gene amplcons were sequenced by Illumina MiSeq platform. The microbiome of rhizosphere and bulk soils of Norungan and Co51 was compared at normal moisture and drought-induced conditions.
