资源简介:
This dataset supports the analysis conducted in the article titled "Evaluating Energy Efficiency in G20 Nations: A Data Envelopment Analysis Approach". It contains input and output variables used to evaluate the relative energy efficiency of G20 countries through Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).The data was collected from publicly available and reputable sources, including the International Energy Agency (IEA), World Bank, and OECD databases. The dataset covers the period from 2000 to 2022, and includes all G20 member countries. The temporal resolution is annual, and the geographical scope is national-level data for each of the 20 countries. The DEA model utilized three input variables — energy intensity, labor force, and gross capital — and one output variable — GDP. All values are presented in consistent units: energy consumption in ktoe, CO₂ emissions in metric tons, GDP in constant US dollars. The dataset is organized in tabular format (CSV file), with each row representing a single country-year observation. Column headers indicate the country name, year, and the respective variable names and values. In total, the dataset contains 438 entries across 6 columns.Minor estimation values exist for a few countries in specific years due to unavailability in the original sources. All numeric data were double-checked for consistency and plausibility, and outliers were assessed using standard statistical methods. The dataset file is named "G20_Energy_Efficiency_DEA_Dataset", with a size of approximately 20 KB. It can be opened using any spreadsheet software or statistical tools that support comma-separated values (CSV) format. In addition to the raw and processed input-output data used for the DEA model, this repository also includes a supplementary file containing the results of the DEA analysis. This file presents the technical efficiency scores for each G20 country by year, generated applying DEA with the Banker, Charnes, and Cooper (BCC) model and window analysis to evaluate EE trends over time. The analysis establishes the Total Factor Energy Efficiency (TFEE) index. The results are provided in tabular format "G20_Energy_Efficiency_DEA_TFEE", with columns indicating the country, year, efficiency score, and relevant DEA parameters (CSV) format. These results were obtained using R.This dataset is intended to be reused by researchers interested in energy efficiency analysis, benchmarking using DEA, or comparative policy assessments among G20 economies.
