GRSL sensor-family validation code package

This dataset archives the curated code, source-data tables, manuscript snapshots, and figure files supporting the GRSL letter “Sensor-Family Composition of the In-Situ Archive Changes the Apparent Bias and RMSD of Satellite Soil-Moisture Products.” The package quantifies how the manufacturer-family composition of the International Soil Moisture Network (ISMN) changes mean-state validation metrics for ERA5-Land, SMAP L3_E, and SMAP-SMI soil-moisture products. Included materials comprise empirical summary tables for sensor-family composition, product RMSD and bias by ISMN subset, co-located-pair robustness checks, dielectric-independent CRNS cross-check summaries, main and supplementary figures, and portable scripts for rebuilding summary plots from the included tables. The archive is a curated review and reproducibility package. It does not redistribute raw public/provider datasets such as ISMN station files, ERA5-Land, SMAP L3_E, SMAP-SMI grids, SoilGrids rasters, or CRNS archives. Public data sources and access information are listed in the package documentation.
