We generated transcriptomic data with high temporal resolution of the entire developmental cycle of Sphaeroforma arctica, a unicellular relative of animals, encompassing the coenocytic growth and cellularization. We used this dataset to analyze the dynamics of gene expression, alternative splicing, and long intergenic non-coding RNA expression.
