Code and data for Semi-empirical estimates of stratospheric circulation and the lifetimes of chlorofluorocarbons and carbon tetrachloride

Code, processed data (ACE, ERA5, MERRA-2, WACCM), and raw data (AGAGE) needed for analysis done in "Semi-empirical estimates of stratospheric circulation and the lifetimes of chlorofluorocarbons and carbon tetrachloride" (accepted in Communications Earth & Environment, June 2025). To compute stratospheric circulation and ODS lifetimes, run all cells in ACE_analysis.ipynb. This notebook also creates Figure 2. Figure 1 can be created with Figure1.ipynb. WACCM analysis (Supplementary Text, Figure, and Table) is done individually for WACCM4, WACCM6, and WACCM-SD in corresponding notebooks. Please reach out to Stephen Bourguet ([e-mail]) for questions.
