Canyon interior was defined as that part which was topographically distinct in Fig 2 (central axis ≥200 m for du Couedic Canyon and ≥500 m for Bonney Canyon). Canyon exterior was all samples to west or east of the canyons over the same depth range as the interior. Abundances are averaged across depth. Feeding designations: D = deposit feeder/grazer; P = predator/parasite; S = suspension feeder; Sc = scavenger. Feeding depth: S = surface and near-surface; Su = subsurface.
