Cretaceous AMS dataset (~128–64 Ma) from the Jinmenguan section, western Sichuan foreland basin

This dataset contains anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) measurements for 515 specimens collected from the Jinmenguan section in the Western Sichuan foreland basin (eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau). The samples come from a 724.1 m continuous stratigraphic interval spanning ~128–64 Ma, with ages constrained by a previously published high-resolution magnetostratigraphic age model (Hou et al., 2023). The spreadsheet reports specimen ID, mean magnetic susceptibility (Km), AMS scalar parameters (L, F, Pj, T), and the orientations (declination and inclination) of the principal susceptibility axes (Kmax, Kint, Kmin). These data underpin time-resolved analysis of magnetic fabrics and associated shortening directions in the Longmen Shan tectonic belt during the Cretaceous.
