Scientists and Engineers Statistical Data System (SESTAT) Integrated Survey Data, 1993

This dataset is a subset of the Integrated Survey Dataset from the Scientists and Engineers Statistical Data System (SESTAT) sponsored by the National Science Foundation. This dataset contains contains over 125,000 records of persons with a science engineering degree and/or occupation, weighted to represent an estimated 11.6 million persons in the U.S. scientific and engineering labor force during the reference week of April 15th, 1993. Data from three biennial surveys--Survey of Doctorate Recipients, National Survey of College Graduates, and National Survey of Recent College Graduates--were integrated into this dataset to provide information about the employment, educational and demographic characteristics of scientists and engineers in the United States. This public-use dataset contains variables that were created to protect the confidentiality of individuals.
