As of August 2021, over 80 percent of surveyed young adults in China stated that they used their phone before going to sleep every day. The most popular apps to use before sleeping were messaging applications and social media apps. Almost 70 percent of the Gen-Z participants opened WeChat or QQ before going to sleep.
