A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, was undertaken on approximately 1.1 hectares of land at Towcester Racecourse, Towcester. Agricultural activity in the form of historic ploughing trends are evident across the site. A range of geological responses correlating to the site topography have also been detected. Other magnetic responses include service pipes and magnetic disturbance. Based on the results of the geophysical survey, the archaeological potential is considered to be low.
