DWCZ – CO – Betasso Meteorological Tower — 2020–Ongoing (DWCZ-BT-Met)

The Betasso 10 m Meteorological Tower is part of the Dynamic Water Critical Zone (DWCZ) network and provides continuous atmospheric, radiation, and soil observations for the Betasso catchment near Boulder, Colorado. The station records wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, and relative humidity at 10 m; incoming shortwave radiation at 5 m; and net radiation at 1.6 m. A tipping-bucket rain gage is mounted near 1 m, and soil temperature and moisture probes are installed at approximately 20 cm below the surface. All instruments are wired to a Campbell Scientific CR1000 (s/n 16759) datalogger. Data are collected to support long-term monitoring of meteorological conditions and energy–water fluxes across the DWCZ network.
