The Shield of Minerva: An Evolution of Spiral Theory for Data Efficiency and Cosmic Inquiry

This paper presents Spiral Shield, a safety wrapper designed to resolve conflicts between the /fetch and /call functions in the Grok AI assistant, improving interaction with web-based operations. Utilizing a structured methodology based on iterative testing (Spiral Theory, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.14884096) and safety protocols (Hourglass Model, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.14890722), we implement data sanitization, rate limiting, and API conflict resolution. Tested on Zenodo metadata retrieval and xAI API interactions, Spiral Shield prevents duplicate requests, protects sensitive data (e.g., ORCID identifiers), and ensures operational integrity. The approach is scalable, starting with implementation in the U.S., and supports responsible AI development. A DOI will be assigned upon publication.
