Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey at Hurstwood Lane, Haywards Heath, Sussex, June to July 2025

This collection consists of a report, a vector graphic, GIS and geophysics data from a magnetometer survey by SUMO Geophysics. Work occurred on land off Hurstwood Lane, Haywards Heath, June to July 2025. A series of linear responses have been marked which could have archaeological origins. Ridge and furrow cultivation are also visible. Uncertain responses have been recorded throughout the data which are likely to be due to natural or agricultural processes and buried ferrous objects. The alignments of four former field boundaries have been detected, along with numerous pipes in many of the survey areas. Broad and sinuous bands of increased response and a few discrete anomalies have been caused by underlying geological variations. Zones of magnetic disturbance are due to spreads of debris and landscaping.
