Data and analysis code for two companion wheat–silicon studies (Plant and Soil Special Issue S125)

This deposit holds the raw data, derived data, analysis scripts, and figure source files underlying two companion research articles submitted together to Plant and Soil, Special Issue S125 "Silicon for Sustainable Agriculture and Resilient Ecosystems". Both studies use the same wheat system (Triticum aestivum L. cv. Omer) grown at the Volcani Center, but they are independent experiments with separate datasets. The archive contains two self-contained study folders, each with its own README and a raw_data / derived_data / scripts / figures structure: CO2_Si_wheat/ — data and code for "Silicon and elevated CO2 act as parallel drivers of wheat growth and oxidative status, with divergent hormone signalling" (Karwa & Halpern). Si_P_source_wheat/ — data and code for "Silicon source (calcium silicate) effects on wheat phosphorus nutrition depend on phosphorus-source chemistry" (Karwa & Halpern). A no-silicon shoot-biomass subset of the Si_P_source_wheat study is additionally used in a separate wheat–chickpea study (Tiwari et al., in preparation), as noted in that study's README and "Overlapping use of data" statement. All analysis scripts (Python 3.11+) resolve their paths relative to their own location, so each package runs in place and regenerates the manuscript figures, tables, and statistics.
