资源简介:
The cause of endometriosis remains unknown, but the most compelling explanation involves the growth of endometrial glands and stroma outside the uterine cavity. Approximately 10% of women of reproductive age are affected by endometriosis, and those with endometriosis have a 50% higher risk of developing ovarian cancers compared to those without the condition. The possibility of endometriosis transforming into ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) has been suggested, and molecular-level analyses are progressing to verify this hypothesis. Recent emphasis on the importance of long-term dienogest treatment for endometriosis is due to the fact that ovarian cyst surgery decreases ovarian reserve. Medical treatment is also important to reduce the recurrence rate. This study aims to perform a molecular-level analysis of dienogest on endometriotic ovarian tissue at the molecular level. This could enhance current treatments for endometriosis and potentially delay its malignant transformation. Overall design: To evaluate gene expression in endometriosis without any treatment before surgery, and endometriosis with dienogest treatment before surgery were compared. Gene expression profiling, particularly RNA sequencing, will be conducted. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) will be identified to pinpoint target genes associated with an increased likelihood of OCCC development from endometriosis.
