CESM model data: Detectability of phytoplankton biomass extremes using simulated satellite chlorophyll observations
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was created for "Detectability of phytoplankton biomass extremes using simulated satellite chlorophyll observations" by Genevieve L. Clow, Nicole S. Lovenduski, Michael N. Levy, Keith Lindsay, Sam Mogen and Jennifer E. Kay (in preparation for Geophysical Research Letters). These data are post-processed from Community Earth System Model version 2.2 (CESM) output. Variables include surface chlorophyll concentration (chlor), masked surface chlorophyll concentration (masked_chlor), the missing data mask (mask), and phytoplankton carbon integrated over the top 100 m (phyto_carbon). To generate the masked chlorophyll field, the mask was used as the probability of a grid cell being replaced with 'NaN'. A more detailed description of the model simulation can be found here: Genevieve Clow, Nicole Suzanne Lovenduski, Michael N Levy, et al. Simulating satellite observations of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll in CESM2 to assess model and sampling bias. Authorea. December 30, 2024. DOI: 10.22541/au.173557616.63524588/v1
