NRS-13470 | Indexes to process books (defendants) [Civil Jurisdiction, Supreme Court of New South Wales]

These volumes are manuscript indexes to civil proceedings in the Supreme Court which give, for each cause: year cause instituted and registration number, name of defendant and name of plaintiff. In addition, for the years 1914-40, the date of judgment is also noted for many causes. Volumes 4/8314-26, however, are typescript indexes while volumes 4/8339-42 are microfilm printouts.For the years 1941-48, the indexes are located in the back of volumes labelled "Index to Plaintiffs and Defendants" (4/8314-21), which also contain indexes to process books for plaintiffs; for 1949-53, the indexes are located in volumes labelled "Index to Causes and Terms" (4/8322-26), which also contain indexes to process books for plaintiffs as well as indexes to terms for appellants and respondents; and, the volumes for 1954-57 (4/8339-42), also contain, in the back, indexes to terms for respondents.(4/8331-38, 4/8314 part-8326 part, 4/8339 part-8342 part). 25 vols (part).
