Moral Dilemmas Experiment

The dataset is the results from a study on abstract virtual character perception for video games. Previous research has shown that some dimensions of human facial features can directly impact the perception of the personality; traits such as aggressiveness, trustworthiness and dominance have been directly correlated with facial features. We first conducted an exploratory study in order to see if the samecorrelations were true for very abstract virtual faces. We when applied our findings in a second study, testing how characters with different perceived personality can influence a player’s moral decisions. These results provide us with a better understanding of the perception of abstract virtual characters, and how it can be employed in games.
