Global Refinery Infrastructure and Petroleum Trade Data 2020

In this project we provide data on the locations and daily processing capacities of global petroleum refining facilities, as well as the crude and petroleum product distribution networks across 15 major global regions. This dataset includes global refineries operational in 2020 and global trade flow volumes for 2020. This data can be used in the global risk and reliability assessment of petroleum refining infrastructure and the crude and petroleum product distribution network subject to various hazard induced-disruptions. This data is used to model the global petroleum product distribution network disruption risk due to extreme coastal flood hazards for current and future climate projections. These datasets might be applicable to research related to energy infrastructure resilience modeling on local, regional, and global scales.
