Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is a significant side effect associated with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy for cancer. This work demonstrates that CAR-T cells secreting cytokine modulators can reduce CRS-related toxicity while simultaneously improving in vivo anti-tumor efficacy.
