This dataset is a simplified version of the "CAA Combat Database, 1990 Edition", abbreviated as "CDB90". It contains information on more than 600 battles fought between AD 1600 and AD 1973. The descriptive data includes the battle's name, date and location; the strengths and weaknesses of both belligerents; the identified victor; the duration of the battle; and selected environmental and tactical environment descriptors, such as types of fortifications, types of tactical schemes, weather conditions, width of the front line, etc.
