Sea surface elevation variability in Trieste in a severe (RCP8.5) climate scenario: projections from the AdriE ensemble.
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides the three-hourly fields of the modelled sea surface elevation from the members of the AdriE (Bonaldo et al., 2024) ocean model ensemble, with reference to the Trieste station (lon 13.7595 - 13.7518 in the model - , lat 45.6473 - 45.6566 in the model). The period is 1987-2099 in the severe RCP8.5 scenario for the climate simulations, whereas the evaluation runs span the period 1987-2010. The dataset is made available in ascii (.txt) and netCDF (.nc) files, each spanning a 19-year period. The model runs were carried out by using the ROMS modelling system (Haidvogel et al., 2008) forced by the SMHI-RCA4 Regional Climate Model (Samuelsson et al., 2011), in turn driven by different General Circulation Models, and modelled sea surface elevation variability does not account for long-term relative sea level rise. For a complete description of the model implementation and its validation, and a discussion of the potential and limitations of the AdriE results, users are encouraged to refer to the manuscript by Bonaldo et al. (2024), recently accepted for publication in Ocean Science.
