Fungal ITS2-Inferred Rhizobiome Chestnut Breedinglines in Vallonia Nursery. Fungi

We compared the ITS2-inferred fungal communities associated with rhizospheres of nursery-grown, one-year-old chestnut seedlings representing three parental and six hybrid breeding lines as well as those present in the nursery soil using deep Illumina sequencing. We specifically tested hypotheses on 1) distinction of fungal communities in soils and rhizospheres and 2) distinction of fungal communities among the nine chestnut breeding lines.
