Characterization of an in vitro steatosis model for modelling the activated de novo lipogenesis

We establish a novel in vitro steatosis model that induces steatosis based on de novo lipogenesis (DNL) using HepG2 cells without treatment of any fatty acids.To investigate the genetic features of the DNL model, we then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq. We did a comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for three groups including de novo lipogenesis (DNL) steatosis model, the oleic acid-induced (OA) steatosis model, and the wild type (WT) model. Each group contained three samples.
