Effect of Oil Exposure on the Vertical Position of Larval Mahi-Mahi in the Water Column

Previous crude oil bioassays with larval mahi-mahi (C. hippurus) revealed an apparent dose-response effect of oil on the vertical orientation and distribution of larvae. This preliminary experiment sought to establish a method for quantifying these potential effects. This dataset focuses on measurements of vertical orientation and distribution of mahi-mahi larvae in 1 L glass beakers in response to increasing dilutions of 96 h slick (OFS) HEWAF exposure. Experimental setup and water quality data are also included.
