Military Protection Area (MPA)

MPA - Military Protection Area In accordance with the new State Law that passed in 2017, on November 6, 2018, a special election was held for voters to consider two option (1) annexation and (2) no annexation, with the implementation of land use regulations. Option 2 was chosen, giving the City of San Antonio the authority to adopt an ordinance to regulate and enforce land use, and limited permitting in an MPA located in mission through limited permitting requirements, inspections and enforecement imposing related fees, fines and other charges in accordance with the Joint Land use Study (JLUS)
