This dataset encapsulates three studies exploring the use of virtual reality (VR) in dementia diagnosis and cognitive assessment, highlighting the perspectives of healthcare professionals and older adults, as well as evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of VR modules across adults (aged 18-64) and older adults (aged 65+ years). It also includes an exploratory qualitative study involving healthcare professionals with expertise in dementia diagnosis identified VR as an innovative tool with better ecological validity than traditional assessments but noted significant barriers such as time, cost, and validity concerns. Overall, these studies suggest VR's promise in dementia diagnosis and cognitive assessment, describing the need for additional resources and tailored implementation strategies to address identified barriers. SDG Target 3.d | National and global health risks: Strengthen the capacity of all countries, in particular developing countries, for early warning, risk reduction and management of national and global health risks This dataset contains sensitive information that is unsuitable for open publication.
