Dataset of Fieldwork Transcripts: Cultural Communication, Transmission, and Mediation of Javanese Gamelan

This compiled dataset consists of four full qualitative raw transcripts from field focus group discussions (FGD) and in-depth expert interviews conducted in Surakarta (Solo) and surrounding regions, Central Java, Indonesia, in July 2024. The qualitative inquiry focuses on social functions, cultural transmission, community resilience, international diplomacy, organology production, and digital recontextualization of Javanese Gamelan.
