Spotted Hyena genome

Spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta), one of the large terrestrial predators found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, is notorious for stealing other animals’ kills. Here we present a high-quality genome assembly of C. crocuta that was generated using a hybrid assembly strategy with Illumina multi-size libraries.斑鬣狗（Spotted hyena, Crocuta crocuta）是广泛分布于撒哈拉以南非洲的大型陆生食肉动物之一，以盗取其他动物的猎物而臭名昭著。本研究报道了一套采用Illumina多尺寸文库混合组装策略构建的高质量斑鬣狗基因组组装结果。
