Air Quality Measurements and Meteorological Measurements Annual Report Background Monitoring Network 2010

The Federal Environment Agency operates eight air quality centres at which background pollution, distance transport of air pollutants and air quality trends are collected. The report shows the results of the measurements in 2010 and the development of the last 20 years. The limit value for particulate matter (PM10) in accordance with the Immissionsschutzgesetz-Luft was exceeded in 2010 in Illmitz, Klöch and Pillersdorf. The other limit values have been complied with. The target value for ozone for the protection of vegetation has been exceeded at all measuring points, the target value for the protection of human health in Illmitz, Vorhegg and at the zöbelboden. The information threshold was exceeded in one day in Illmitz.
