Jane Campion Research Collection

The Jane Campion Research Collection contains approximately 70 objects and 25 indexed records that are about the Australian based filmmaker Jane Campion. The objects include peer reviewed articles, newspaper articles, books, publicity material, posters, stills about Jane Campion and the various film projects show has been involved in creating. The collection includes materials donated to the AFI Research Collection by Deb Verhoeven, which she used for research for her book "Jane Campion" (Routledge, 2008). The book explores the way that Jane Campion's career has developed and how she was both an influence on and was influenced by her interactions with media, academia, and the film industry. The Jane Campion Research Collection has been collated as she has been a focal point for a very large amount of recent research on filmmaking.
