RDS-TMC Location Table and Event List

RDS-TMC (Radio Data System-Traffic Message Channel) is a European standard for a language-independent traffic information service. The service is based on a common European code list for messages, and a standardised system for locating messages. The TMC messages are broadcast as a silent RDS signal along with FM radio programs. In order to receive the RDS signal, you must have an RDS-TMC receiver. Such a receiver can be built into a radio or navigation system. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration prepares and quality assures the TMC reference system (RDS-TMC Location Table) and Norwegian version of the message code list (RDS-TMC Event List).
