EXAFS Study of the structure of Gd-doped YBCO compounds

The focus of this proposal is the study of the structure of superconducting Gd-doped YBCO thin films by EXAFS on the Y K edge and Gd L3 edge with the aim to gather information about the topology of the atoms around the absorber which can give hints about the atomic arrangement of Gd and Y and hence about the nature of the Gd-induced defects.
