These files are part of the dataset "Uncertainty surfaces accompanying the BUPR, BUPL, and BUA gridded surface series", contained in the dataverse “HISDAC-US: Historical Settlement Data Compilation for the United States” (https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataverse/hisdacus). The *.tar.gz archive contain geospatial raster layers measuring different types of uncertainty inherent in the BUPR, BUPL, and BUA gridded datasets. The readme file provides additional information.
