The Institutional Boundary of Proactive Government Intervention: Marketization, Policy Instruments, and Green Technology Innovation Efficiency in China

This repository provides the replication data and code for the manuscript entitled “The Institutional Boundary of Proactive Government Intervention: Marketization, Policy Instruments, and Green Technology Innovation Efficiency in China.” The dataset contains processed provincial-level panel data for China from 2011 to 2023. The variables include green technology innovation efficiency (GTIE), proactive government intervention (PGI), marketization (MD), policy-instrument measures of government intervention, and control variables used in the empirical analysis. The data are aggregated at the province-year level and do not contain individual-level or personally identifiable information. The repository includes three files: PGI_MD_GTIE.xlsx: the processed panel dataset used for the empirical analysis. replication_code.R: the R script used to reproduce the main regression results, heterogeneity analyses, robustness checks, and figures. outputs.zip: the generated output files, including regression tables and figures produced by the replication code.
