Associations between moral judgements and ANS activity

Park et al. (2016) reported an association between heart rate variability at rest and moral judgement. RMSSD was negatively associated to utilitarian tendencies indicating that less parasympathetic activity was linked to more utilitarian decisions. Here, we aim to replicate and extend these findings. We translated the dilemmas suggested by Conway and Gawronski (2013) and used in Park et al. (2016) into German. Furthermore, in addition to heart rate data we recorded electro-dermal activity (EDA) as an indicator for activity of the sympathetic branch of the ANS.
