Identification of Helicoverpa zea-Helicoverpa armigera hybrids using genome admixture analysis

This project identified and characterized Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms specific to Helicoverpa zea and Helicoverpa armigera with the objective of developing methods of identifying zea-armigera hybrids. For the project, whole genome sequencing was conducted on a diverse set of samples from different geographical locations and time periods of Helicoverpa zea, Helicoverpa armigera, and Helicoverpa zea-armigera F1 hybrids reared in our lab. The sequencing data will be made available with this bioproject/SRA submission.
