TRUC mice with chronic intestinal inflammation were treated with an anti-IL-6 (neutralizing mAb) or isotype control mAb. Faecal samples were acquired from study animals prior to treatment and following completion of treatment. The impact of neutralizing a key cytokine involved in regulating host immunity at the interface intestinal microbiota was determined.
