Protected areas of nature conservation

The spatial data collection contains the digital boundaries of protected areas and their zoning according to nature conservation law for the Free State of Thuringia. The following protected area themes are available:
* Hainich National Park,
* Biosphere reserves (BR),
* Biosphere reserves (BR) with zoning,

* Nature parks,

* Nature reserves (NSG),

* Landscape protected areas (LSG),

* Areas and objects of the Natura 2000 network (FFH sites and dot-shaped objects and EC bird sanctuaries (SPAs)),

* Protected area zoning.

The data serve as the basis for planning of any kind by planning agencies and planning offices as well as general information to the public about the situation of protected areas.
These are usually no official limits!
However, FFH and EC bird protection areas are official borders based on TK 25/2003.
