Transcriptome analysis between diploid and haploid in the unicellular red algae Cyanidiophyceae

The unicellular red algae Cyanidiophyceae primarily inhabit thermo-acidic environments. They exhibits a sexual life cycle, alternating between a cell-walled diploid and a cell wall-less haploid, with both phases capable of proliferating asexually. To reveal the differences in gene expression patterns between diploid and haploid, RNA-seq analysis was performed.
