Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is the leading oil-producing crop species and the most important edible oil resource worldwide. We apply RAD-seq (Restriction-site associated DNA sequencing) to discover a large set of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and construct a high-density linkage map for an oil palm (Tenera) population derived from a cross between a Dura and Pisifera.
