RAMA06WT Rama Expedition Leg 06 - Cruise Report. In Data from Scripps Research Expeditions 1953-2005

Objectives are to understand the sedimentary and structural evolution of the forearc basin west of sumatra;determine the landward extent of the accretionary complex and the seaward edge of sumatran continental cruist; to delineate and sample the sedimentary facies on the lower trench slope; to clarify the shallow structure of slope sediments and accreted material on the lower trench slope work requires two-ship expanding spread and constant offset seismic refraction profiles, single-ship multichannel seismic reflection work, piston coring and single reflection work.

本数据集的研究目标为：明晰苏门答腊以西弧前盆地（forearc basin）的沉积与构造演化历程；确定增生杂岩（accretionary complex）的陆侧延伸范围与苏门答腊大陆地壳的海侧边界；圈定海沟下坡坡（lower trench slope）上的沉积相（sedimentary facies）并采集其样品；阐明海沟下坡坡上的斜坡沉积物与增生物质的浅层结构特征。本研究所需开展的工作包括双船扩展排列地震折射剖面测量、等偏移距地震折射剖面测量、单船多道地震反射作业、活塞取芯（piston coring）以及单次反射作业。
