These volumes contain the following information in respect of each letter received and registered: the annual progressive number of the letter; the number of previous papers (if any); the date of registration; the name of the writer; the place of residence of the writer; the date of the letter; a record of any reference of the letter to other departments; and, a record of any attachment of the letter to later papers, and of any subsequent action.(9/4196-98). 3 vols.
