In this study conducted under growth chamber conditions, we investigated how different long-term fertilization strategies (organic vs. mineral) affect the suppressiveness against the soil-borne pathogen Rhizoctonia solani. In addition, we investigated the performance and health of the model plant lettuce (Lactuca sativa cv. Tizian) and the assembly of its rhizosphere microbiota with respect to pathogen inoculation and fertilization history.
