Berks County Municipal Boundary

This polygon data set represents the boundaries of municipalities within the County of Berks. This data set was created to manage information and for internal use to represent all municipal boundaries within the County of Berks. The data was originally created from landbase information and from the initial land base creation by the Assessment Department - Mapping Office in the early 1990s. Recorded information and documents have been used to create the best possible representation the boundaries and they have been verified to be topologically correct and coincident with other county political boundaries. This data is not legal evidence of any municipal or county boundary line. Updated attribute information was provided in 2008 making the information more useful for GIS applications.
